Hoaxes are fabricated by conspiracy theorists and a conspiracy theorist is a person who still believes too much in human goodness, so much so that they don't accept the shadow that we carry within ourselves; otherwise they would realize that conspiracy-minded thinking is an evolution of what I observe in the clever kid in the schoolyard who would steal the other kid's sandwich, often with a group of followers supporting him; there is a need to believe in a separation between learned values "the normal" and its shadow "malicious conspiracy", but it's a separation born from education and learned values, not from a reptilian-masonic plot, and if you don't believe me, bring me a lightbulb that doesn't cast shadows.

I have no doubts that in every social system, groups and conspiracies are formed; what I see as interested manipulation is turning this into a belief, and a belief is usually much more dangerous than the conspiracy itself.
No one is safe from hoaxes; a hoax is an attempt at manipulation, and it can be generated by a pharmaceutical company, a government president, a religious authority, or any institution we trust, which is why the only way to save yourself from them is to investigate the underlying reality for yourself; if your reality is the result of a link, it's a reality that can break.
The true danger of hoaxes and conspiracy theory comes when they become dogma of faith.
It occurs to me that an accurate definition of "real news" in this era we live in could well be "everything you're willing to believe"; just look at how in the USA they conducted a survey between March 27 and 30, 2013 among 1,247 American citizens (and it was the U.S. National Center for Public Opinion Research) which showed that 28% of those surveyed believe the world is governed by a secret global regime, that 29% of Americans believe their Government is hiding the existence of extraterrestrials, and that 37% believe that climate change is "a fraud" (in just 7 years they're already changing their minds) and if that seems small to you, 13% of Americans believed Obama was the antichrist, YES, seriously.
What seems more dangerous to you in this example: that people believe it or the conspiracy itself?
Another curious example of this we can find today in the absurd media crusade seen in various forums regarding secret societies born in the 18th century, created to break the chains of absolutism represented by monarchy and ecclesiastical power, intended to find freedom to be able to express and investigate the nature of things, and why not, to gain power; it's obvious they succeeded since we are largely a consequence of their unacknowledged boldness, yet the propaganda of those who held the handle of the old reality model (Monarchy and Church) still lingers due to lack of knowledge on the subject, especially because once the conspiracy is accepted everything else is digested without need of antacids, I believe that without people like that penicillin wouldn't exist yet, blessing the king's water would be enough to alleviate any illness, but the world advances like water downhill along the shortest path, there is common sense in human nature, we have been created to survive, and beliefs are not going to help us in that task, profound knowledge of the nature of things is what will help us.
Some of the revolutionary ideas of the maligned illuminated ones were to oppose prejudices and imposed religiosity on public life; to prevent the abuse of state power and to support equality between sexes, as well as to promote education for women; I believe that in the 18th century they were certainly not reptilians if nothing else they seemed like extraterrestrials.
A few days ago I listened to this speech by Doctor Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente, which exemplifies what the so-called "illuminated ones" were seeking—they were not malevolent beings nor did they want to govern the world to dominate the human race; what they wanted was to free it from the chains of those who held power without hope, how difficult it is to understand it, right? Was Felix a malicious illuminated one?
