Mars in Aries
Mars is the impulse we feel to accomplish things, it is the energy and desire we feel as motivation.
Mars, like all other planets, depends both on the astrological sign in which it is located and on the position in the personal horoscope. The place where it is found is sensitive to visceral impulses, to making rapid and willful changes. We also find here a more direct motivation than in any other place. To know the part of the horoscope where Mars is located, we must first know our natal chart.
To give an example, I will explain that in sector 7 of the chart, which refers to associates, marriage or legal proceedings, it is interpreted as the need to establish bonds with dynamic people, with direct competition or with a partner who represents these qualities. This is more evident in a woman's natal chart because she tends to project her masculine energy (Mars) in that sector. We can also find a lawyer or politician whose job is litigation and direct conflict with others.
In Aries, Mars is strengthened, expressing its characteristics in an evident way. It can be a great motivator, a person who starts things with great inner motivation. However, without other aspects to help them, they will find it difficult to carry through what they began with such force. This is typical of the Aries sign, and in this case with the position of Mars, it is expressed as dynamic motivation.
It also has to do with sexual energy. The most instinctive and animal part of the person expresses itself through the desire to possess, through the need to achieve, often in a selfish way. Mars is the planet we observe to know under what conditions this energy will be used, which in Aries expresses itself in a primary way when other factors do not intervene.
Mars, also called Ares, is traditionally the god of war. This certainly can lead people born with this position to be interested in martial pursuits.
In reality, astrological tradition indicates that Mars and heavy metals, especially iron, are related. Perhaps this is the main reason for considering it the representative planet of martial pursuits. Medicine, which has also used these elements since ancient times, is also closely related to a strong position of Mars like the one we find in Aries. In this case, more so because of the surgical aspect.
Many doctors have an influential Mars in their natal chart. The need to get ahead of others and show that you are at the head of a situation is something that also obeys the position in the sign of Aries, which is typical of people who tend to venture first where others hesitate. In this way, they can be entrepreneurs in any field.
The typical illnesses of this position are those related to the head, as well as all types of scars on the face and even burns.
A woman with this position in her natal theme seeks a man with decision, with masculine characteristics, with initiative.
