Do you want your birth chart?
A natal horoscope or birth chart is the representation through a mandala of the snapshot of the sky at the moment of birth.
In this photograph and specifically in the position of the celestial bodies relative to the place where you were born lie the keys to astrological interpretation. It is not the same to be born before sunrise as after. Neither is it the same to be born at noon as at dusk, and it is not a matter of better or worse. In astrology, the concept of good or bad is not used. Rather, it is about situations that limit or influences that expand. However, the limitation of an illness is better than its expansion. Therefore, the concept of benefit-growth is something that does not truly exist.
The reason why a birth chart is created is quite simple. Since childhood we all know our horoscope and occasionally we look at it in newspapers or magazines, but they are generic. We cannot expect that the same things happen to one-twelfth of humanity at the same time. However, once the following data are known:
Geographic coordinates of birth (longitude and latitude), that is, the exact place of birth.
Date of birth.
Time of birth.
Once these data are known, the personalization of the interpretation opens the door to much more precise knowledge, in which the position of the birth Sun—that is, the zodiacal sign—no longer has too much importance. Rather, based on knowledge of the real horoscope, we interpret the position of the Moon, the Ascendant, Venus or Mars, etc., and all of this taking into account their relative position with respect to the other celestial bodies and angles of the natal chart.
This interpretation can also take into account the current position of the celestial bodies with respect to the natal chart or birth horoscope and provide an interpretation of their current effect. This is known as astrological transits. When this work is performed by a professional human astrologer, direct and personal questions can be asked about all of this. When the interpretation is performed by a computer program—which is neither good nor bad but rather limited—the interpretation lacks the depth and personal experience of the astrologer.
The interpretation also involves other ways of progressing the birth horoscope, such as the solar return (annual interpretation that begins and ends on the birthday) or lunar return (monthly, based on the passage of the Moon).
This is a craft work that is carried out by studying each person's horoscope. Therefore, rewarding the effort of the person dedicated to it is only fair.
